That's a pain. Could it be anything to do with how you touch the screen itself? I've read of someone who was also unused to the characteristics of the touchscreen and had trouble drawing a box around a point of interest using the 'touch and drag' technique. Maybe a 'too long' or 'too brief'...
Interesting but worrying. The only thing I can offer is a similar scare a few times recently with my RC while flying the Mini 3 Pro. The flying screen suddenly disappears and the GoFly screen appears. Too bad if I'm attempting something critical at the time. I have to press Go Fly to get back to...
I'm with you there on that. Today I allowed it to do its own RTH fully since the ground was tarmac, but other wise I cancel when it's a metre or two off the ground and hand land. I often use a wide circular photo reflector as my launch pad but even then have to move it over to land the drone...
It's a good idea to check the map for restricted areas out from the runways of airports, which in the case of Madeira is bound to include areas over the ocean as well as the land. I've been to the island a few times and I am aware that airlines count the airport as being one of the more...
I think I mentiioned this elsewhere here but no harm in chipping in I guess? Flying in a few places in the Austrian tyrol this year I launched my Mini 3 Pro at somewhere around 6000ft. Th drone clearly knew my height above ground level (I think!) and frightened me twice by giving me a RC screen...
So it dropped from the preset RTH height? I imagine he tried everything? Cancelling RTH or height setting, changing from cinematic or whatever? It's certainly worrying.
I use RTH every time I'm out! When I've got what I want it's sure the quickest and easiest return..but I often cancel when it's close by and I then hand land my Mini 3 Pro if there's a risk of grass or whatever hitting the drone. But since line of sight is a legal requirement if I lose sight of...
Ah, thanks. So that's R.I.D.! I apparently triggered that while flying my drone in the Austrian alps, near Mayrhofen earlier this year. At one spot as the drone (Mini 3 Pro, my first) rose up my RC displayed a warning that I was breaching local height regulations which in that area were as low...
Very, very nice! I'll stick to my Mini 3 Pro for now until I either become competent with all the control items or break it and don't get it under DJI warranty! It'll be less of a quantum leap /learing curve when I do move on.
Belated welcome (I've recently joined te group). That sounds like a super plan and I hope it has been effective. Has it? Viewing through the glitter and reflection of the surface must be a task indeed. I've used a cross-polarising filter on my Nikons in the past but I've no idea how that works...
