I agree and I’m a strong believer that shorter clips are generally more interesting. When editing, I usually limit each of my clips to 8 seconds long. That said, I’ve seen professional level 1-2 minute drone clips that are great and have some uses. For example, my Apple TV has a screen saver...

Very cool!! Why only 10 seconds? It only looks like 1-2 mins of flying.

Did you post your twilight hyperlapse anywhere online? I’d be keen to have a look.

Thanks Wild. I agree, filming the sunrise with the lighthouse in the foreground at 3:10 was just too tough for the Air 2S. The dynamic range wasn’t quite there and it washed out.

Thanks. I appreciate the lengthy response and your honest feedback. That lighthouse is the only thing that I have ever filmed at night. It was relatively easy, as I knew the location well and hence I wasn’t too worried about hitting any trees, etc. Trees always worry me, but at night they...

    Spectacular video! Very well done

3 Saltwater Sights and Sounds - appreciate any comments to improve

Set yourself a goal in editing of 8 seconds per clip. For example, for your video specially, instead of starting the video with a long 2 minute clip of flying over the winding creek, you would edit down and use the first 8 seconds (of the 2min clip), then the middle 8 seconds (of the 2min...

True and I haven’t been flying much recently either. I’ve also learnt the hard way to ignore posts/responses relating to laws and regulations. Regardless of what side people fall on, those conversations achieve nothing, they often result in pointless arguments (and Trolling) and they bring the...

Thanks. The video does jump around and I’ll have to give some thought on how to improve that. Currently the video “jumps” when I switch to a new suburb/area, which is logical but only clear to Sydney locals, not tourists. I totally agree that mixing ground level shots with drone shots makes...

Air 2 Surfers and Sunset on the eve of Hurricane Lee. York, Maine

Nice shots, beautiful colours. Filming surfers is tough and the light in magic hour fades fast, so you did a pretty good job. 👏

Air 2s and Dji Avata. .:: Beautifully Strange - Short Cinematic 4k Video Portugal ::. [NEW VID]

Very good video. My only suggestion is to use a little less “speed ramping”. If you overuse a special effect, it stops being special.

Air 2s The story of a crashed and lost and then found drone

Sorry Rob, which part of your video you are referring to? I’m also curious, do you edit your videos at all? Your video is 18 minutes long and I can see a number of shots with shakes/wobbles in it, so I’m assuming it’s not edited (except to join the clips and add music)?

Air 2s The story of a crashed and lost and then found drone

I’m not familiar with the “Flyaway replacement” from DJI. If you fly sideways and crash into a tree, DJI will replace your drone?

    My first ever drone videos

Nice video Tim, especially given it’s your first. I agree with your comments that choosing the music for videos is one of the toughest things to do. You did pretty good job with that, as I thought both clips had good music. To improve your video, I would recommend that you try to add more...
