Make takeoff altitude is the highest altitude (altitude above average mean sea level) at which you have taken off from. Your top distance is the top cumulative flight distance, as in the total distance you covered in one flight. So even if you were only 5 metres away, if you went back and forth...

You can definitely fly it in the winter, but the trick is to keep the battery warm, while allowing the mavic to cool (to avoid the video jitter/jello issues mentioned by WolfgangStiller). Simple solution is take the battery off the mavic and keep it warm in a pocket or inside until you're ready...

For anyone wondering, when the shot is panning around the skier, and it goes blue, that's when the sun dips below the mountain, not an issue with colour correction or anything.
