Sounds like an IMU error. And it sounds like the classic flyaway from the old phantom days. DJI did finally admit fault and fixed it through firmware. Exactly why I don't update if everything works. Hear that? That's the firmware and pilot error police coming .

FYI, if anyone is interested in the Tello just for flight and not the camera, the Mambo comes with a bluetooth controller and is cheaper than Tello. It also has a sonar sensor which gives it the same flight characteristics as the Tello.

I'm just comparing to Parrot Mambo. Came out last year. The Tello actually looks and flies like a clone of the Parrot Mambo which has built in SD recorder. Just saying, I know video on both drones are crap, but the Tello's herky jerkiness is crapier than the mambo... lol. Coming from FPV...

Nope. You won't get more than 400 if youre lucky. It cost 1600 a few years ago because I built the same. Not even worth that much now.

Sounds like corruption. You should have slipped a $20 underneath the paperwork. It sounds bad but sometimes a neccasary evil. There is no way that admin can be there 24/7.

You're right they are bad. It's a 1 2/3rd 12mp sensor. Any photo not taken in broad daylight is going to be noisier than a nickleback concert. No amount of RAW can fix that.

Can I suggest sending in the footage to DJI or bringing it to their attention. This sounds dangerous. Motors should not arm after being disarmed.

If that is so, it would definitely be a major firmware flaw. Anyone who has experienced this should report to DJI. If the craft had already landed with the motors off, it should not initiate RTH at all. This is the worst case scenario for any RC pilot, the props arming after disarming. The only...

Even if it was still on, I don't see how the motors would have initiated without CSC. This is concerning maybe worth some investigating, maybe reporting to DJI.

I agree, but the Air is better quality. The processor is newer. Plenty of people of done reviews on youtube. And I have both the Air and a GP5, they are great during day but suck balls at night. But really though, the Gopro is 400 but the Air is just double that, which is a great deal.
