Restricted height/distance when flying without phone or goggles?

Thanks very much guys - and then also remember that the restriction was lifted when I connected the white goggles (while still not using the app).

Restricted height/distance when flying without phone or goggles?

Hi folks... I have a Mavic Pro, white goggles, and of course a phone running DJI 4 Go. I've been flying for 3-4 years with this Mavic, but maybe never without either the phone or goggles. I have beginner mode turned OFF - verified and double-checked and turned on/off a few times as well...

Replacement battery for Mavic Pro remote?

Good idea to check B&H and Adorama - just did, and didn't see the battery. That video above has a link to a Chinese seller which appears to be selling DJI OEM batteries for about $30 shipped. Not too bad a price. I was also thinking of attaching an external battery somehow - and that could be...

Replacement battery for Mavic Pro remote?

So they want you to send in the controller for repair for a battery swap? Yeesh. And I wonder the cost...

Replacement battery for Mavic Pro remote?

Hi guys... I need a new battery for my Mavic Pro remote. Amazon has them for around $20, and that's fine, but they don't get the best reviews. I've searched around the DJI Store (figuring the battery would be very good quality), and can't find remote batteries listed anywhere? Does DJI sell...

    Travel/Flying with a Drone.

A gate agent once told me that lipo restrictions only apply to "loose" batteries (that can "short", I suppose). That batteries installed in a device (or separated from each other?) are OK in checked bags. But don't take that as Gospel. Err on the side of safety.

DJI 3 PRO - Can it beat the Air 2S?

Unless you are trying to fly home into a 100mph wind. :)

Do your Mini 2 propellers "wear out"?

Might it be the bearings in one or more motors creating some wobble? Bearings do wear out, and sometimes (always?) can be replaced, or otherwise a new motor is needed.

Any suggestions for recovering this drone now wedge high up in a pine tree?

This kind of general idea (throw bag): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VO2HZ0G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_M0S3H9834DQFE8XC328W

Dale, just copy-and-paste the coordinates from the above posting into the search box on a Google Maps web page, and you get this (this is the first coordinate): 37°01'14.9"N 110°08'38.5"W · Oljato

Mini 2 with Japan 1100mah battery

Looks like if a person could get their hands on DJI Mini 2 1100mah batteries, made for the Japan market (to get the AUW below 200 grams to meet Japanese 200-gram rules), that he/she/they could fly here in the USA, with prop guards, and still be below 250 grams, so as to legally fly over people...

FAA Part 107 Rule Changes re: Showing RPIC to LEO etc. . .

If you are not "current" with your "real" pilot license, then to the FAA, as far as Part 107 requirements go, it's like you don't have a "real" license at all. BFR is still required (I'm 99.99% sure.)

Interesting survey question from DJI related to recent changes to FAA rules

The "reckless operator" is not a factor here, as any of us, at any time, could fly our drones into people or property...meaning the equipment, like prop cages, only has to enable LEGAL flying, not protect the public from reckless operators (even though the cages would of course help in that case).

New 107 Rules in the U.S. Today. Make sure you understand them so you don't get in trouble.

At risk of stating the obvious (for those who this might not BE obvious) - remember that LAANC is only needed for flying in controlled airspace.
