Traveling to China soon, Need Help!

i currently live in china. i did register but to be honest, police here don’t really care.. but it’s the security guards who will give you a hard time (if any) they usually don’t care if you’ve registered or not in my experience. also, customs don’t seems to care if you’re bringing in a drone.

Consultation mavic pro FCC or CE

there isn’t a way to do that on the mp/mpp other than using the modded go4 app with a fcc config file. wifi force fcc method only works on spark and air

Flying in Osaka and Greater Japan - maybe Fukushima?

almost entire osaka and kyoto are nfz (densely populated in red). just be careful as the police in japan seems nice (talking manners) but are very strict. i don’t bother to take my drone to tokyo as there are no where to fly within the city. however, you can fly around mt.fuji.

    Confidence problem [emoji24]

make sure your batteries and props are properly secured. don’t fly too low or too far out, try to keep in mind to land with at least 35% battery (to avoid landing in water) and you’ll be fine. have fun!

Newbie - Air or Pro for first buy?

i fly both and love them both. i live in the city and the air does seem to have some issues with connectivity in time to time so i fly the pro more, but when i go to the beach or travel somewhere, i would take the air. i recommend the air in your situation simply because it’s more portable...

    Mavic Air range question

i fly both, mostly in urban areas. i personally like the air more but i have no choice other than to use the pro more due to often signal loss with the air. sometimes the air would have solid signal but it could lose signal at thar same exact spot on another day/time so it’s not as reliable as...

    Any tips for night photos?

tripod mode is good when taking videos during the day if you want to speed it up to get the time laps effect. for stills, it makes no difference as if you’re hovering, any mode will hover in the same manner while taking long exposure shots.

    Any tips for night photos?

using auto looks ok on a smal screen but you’ll notice the noise as you enlarge them. auto setting will prioritize the shutter speed so the iso is set too high, you want to keep it as low as possible. but if you’re just going to share them with family & friends for viewing on their phones, then...

    Any tips for night photos?

this was taken using the MA iso100, 1.3sec in slightly windy condition. i have more difficulties getting decent results if longer than 2sec with the MA even in very low wind conditions. they usually comes out a bit blurry. with the MP, i can do much longer.

    Any tips for night photos?

right, MA has fixed focus so forget about the focus part. sorry for the confusion, focus only applies on MP.

    Any tips for night photos?

as mentioned above, if you’re flying a MP, you’ll need to first set it to auto focus and find a bright spot approx 50m away to focus, then set to manual focus and leave it at that for the remaining of your flight. MA has fixed focus so there’s no need to worry about that. use iso100 and try to...
