The Casey offers everything but no room for the charger. That is the reason I bought the mavic pro bag which is very compact again and fits everything, including the mavic air in its supplied case.

You can do it both way, using DJI assistant 2 on your pc or DJI Go 4 app on your phone. The app would check for updates as soon as you power on the bird and connect it to your device (powered on controller connected to your phone) and from there, its basically just a couple taps on your screen...

AFAIK, it can't be done. When the bird is not connected, the app shows a generic setting screen and any changes you make is not retained/saved.
