A rare Brexit benefit maybe

Just heard that the EU are planning to force Google to make some sort of charge for some of their services such as Maps & Gmail. It may be that this charge will be indirect but even so, hopefully it will not affect us in the UK.

I thought we paid indirectly through advertising anyway. I am not sure how they monetise Maps but I know they read all our Gmails so they can improve the targeting of advertising and can sell our behaviour profile to data analytic companies.

Ahhh at last, some positive proof it will be all worth it in the end... Estimated cost of leaving EU, 40 billion euro, but maybe we'll keep free Google maps, maybe...fingers crossed [emoji39]
