City Flying at Night

Never done it. Ive seen so much amazing footage of city night flights and felt both terrified and envious. Often beautifully composed (ie: perfectly lined up street shots) and as much as they are cliched I still find them compelling.

As much as I want to shoot this stuff I really can't see myself launching in Pitt St, Sydney and shooting off towards the Quay. Not without losing my $#^& or panicking into someones loungeroom.

Any of you cats have experience with this kind of thing? Any advice? Want to talk me out of it?

I had that feeling when I had my drone go straight up in my back yard to video the fourth of July fireworks on the lakes.
The panic set off when I took my eyes off it to check the view from iPad. I told my wife that I could not see it anymore even though it was still straight up. She pointed it out and I brought it back down. My "looking up" was at a angle that was not straight up.
