When purchasing used, all details matter. All details together can also give an idea of how much the owner is willing to divulge about real usage and understanding of the equipment.

My understanding of the Smart Controller is that it's battery is comprised of two separate internal packs, these packs are not replaceable by the user, only DJI can and it is expensive. LiIONs like LiPo's have a finite usefulness. Ever had a smart phone where you had to constantly keep it on charge?

What I have learned is to ask “Are there ANY flaws whatsoever“
If the answer is none, and out of the box it has flaws, it goes back.

I am pretty sure I have had it since at least 2018. I used it off and on, I have no idea how many hours I used it, I flew the drone maybe 2-3 times per month? The battery life is good. This is about the extent of the details I can give you. Cosmetically it is in excellent condition, however excellent is subjective.
