I got a Mavic Air for Christmas. Still feeling very much intimidated by the impressive complexity of my new gadget. The various videos are remarkably valuable learning tools. Inasmuch as I’m in Alaska in January, I may have to wait a while before flying much. I am wondering whether it is a bad idea to fly the drone with snow on the ground. It’s hard to do that getting moisture on the aircraft, especially the battery. Any advice?

Hand launch and catch or lay a landing pad on the ground.
