Mavic Carbon Props 8330F

There are no DJI carbon fiber props for the Mavic. The "8330F" props are the same thing as the "8330" props. If you look near the center of the props that came with your Mavic, you will see they are labeled as "8330F".

So what is the difference between the F and non F version? Nothing?

Nothing. There is only one version.

Yes, I had tested the carbon props,
they are very nice,Beyond Imagination with more toughness better durability and equilibrium.
But also more price;)

Thanks great advice. They are looks like, just with different materials. I will try both with plastic and carbon!Thumbswayup

The carbon fiber with hollow internal honeycomb structure is even faster and longer flight.

Those are 8330FHIH if you can find them. So far hard to find outside of N Korea.

Once you crash your Mavic with the carbon blades, that is on you. Not a DJI problem. If DJI felt that carbon props would be a great idea, don't you think they would have developed and released some?

Curious, why would carbon props be a problem?

They are harder so in theory if you crash the blades wont break, something else will like a motor With Plastic blades they have some give and will break releasing some of the stress from the motors and other parts of the drone.

Ahh, I see... thankz..

For big aircraft, I thought the advantage of carbon fiber and other composites was that they had a high strength to weight ratio. Plastics are already pretty light and the Mavic's plastic propellers seem to be well strong enough for their intended purpose, so not sure what the big advantage would be to using carbon fiber propellers.

Like you said might not be good from a materials standpoint. Harder is not always better. Harder can sometimes mean more britttle, and where a plastic blade will bend and have some ductility, a brittle blade will just break.

Oh don't you worry, they break. They shatter, embed themselves into the frame or what ever else is nearby, and because the shatter they're razor shape so don't get too close

The idea is they are more rigid so they are more efficient, but often they are cheap, poorly balanced and often are less efficient

This! Also, if there were a CF alternative that was folding, then the stiffness of the blade would be focused on the hub and potentially cause a higher rate of failure. Flexing blades absorb stress from the hub. No flex, hubs become a weak point. Increase strength of hub, stress is transferred to other parts of Mavic. I only fly CF on heli's, but would never consider it on a Mavic.
