New to drone, which one sub 250gr?

Droning isn't a good hobby to get into on the cheap. You WILL want more batteries, landing pad, strobe(s), charger, cables, range extender, a good screen, FPV, extra propellers, case, prop guards, apps...the list goes on. If you go new, save yourself some grief (and money) and get a fly more kit. BUT...as a first drone, might want to learn on the less expensive Mini 1. Will hurt less in case of mishaps while on the learning curve.

You're in general correct about buying cheap and learn ... but,

...beginners with little knowledge about weather & wind aloft, combined with a not so reliable RC connection ... & little training to react in a proper way to a upcoming disaster, don't benefit of starting up with the Mini 1 which doesn't have any headroom power wise.

Have seen numerous of cases with newbies+Mini 1's flying way to high, in too windy weather, flying out with the wind... & before they know it they are in the middle of a blow away ... & when they realize their mistake they push RTH & sends the AC up to 300ft & leave it there until the connection is gone.

You need to be somewhat experienced in order to fly it & not loose it, in that sense that you need to understand that you're maneuvering a under powered craft that has nothing to put against winds on height.

Hi Marco; Welcome to the forum from Chicago the Windy City.
Marco, you can do a query, on the search function, upper right hand corner.
Just type in as a example: Flyaways, and see other pilots comments on that subject.
