RC USB Socket

Connected handsets USB to iPhone and iPad but doesn't seem to connect or do anything . Am I doing something wrong ?

Ignore that . I realised I needed to disconnect the mini USB cable ... figured it didn't matter as nothing was connected to the lightning end of the dji cable .. Duh !! ...

Yup caught me out too and many others before us. I don't really understand why, I guess it is only one USB port with two sockets and there must be a physical switch to deactivate the large one when the mini is plugged in.

Yes probably that's the reason .. I wanted to try using an iPad .. now I'm making an iPad holder out of GO Pro spare bits .. so I can use rc and iPad separately

Strangely enough, you can attach a device like an iPad to the large USB port while simultaneously charging the mavic controller with the small USB port.

This is quite useful when trying to fly continuously while swapping out mavic batteries.

Holder loos good however I'd like to have the rc separate from the iPad and be able to use both and walk about . ..

Not quite sure I follow you there. I tried with no holder and it just didn't work. I then attached ut to the controller with rubber bands and it was more unmanageable. With this setup I have it hanging from the neck strap, makes it easier to operate the iPad, hand launch or catch etc.

Im wanting to have the iPad so I can see it easy and held by neck strap .. rc attached by wire only .. then hold rc in hands .. maybe not the set up I'll end up with . And may get an iPad mini anyways later depending on trying for size .. where did u get those brackets from ? Would b gd to try them

Also I use cases on devices. And would like to continue . It's a pain to take even the phone out of its case to fit it in the rc

Found on eBay .. do u not need to see rc screen or can u still see it clearly ?

Pretty much most info is on the tablet screen but you can easily tilt to see the RC.

I can still see the full RC screen when flying and when I let it go and it hangs from the neck strap. Only thing I want to do mow is make up a shade for the ipad.

That's great . And nearly perfect . Also like how it's compact . I just need to be able to fit a iPad and case / cover in .. bye what is to stop the iPad sliding out ?

So i've found it on dhgate.com . Question... Does it fit if you have a silicone slim case on ipad?

Na it's a nice fit with no case. I am pretty sure it will not fit with a case. I have one of the flip covers that holds to the edge of the iPad with a magnet. Just peel it off and throw in the bag.
