Strange occurrence in a restricted area

I repeated the same steps from the same location and produced the same result. The Mavic would not acquire a gps signal until airborne and then when it did I got the following pop-up and the Mavic flew full throttle to the south east. I quickly pulled down on the left stick and landed it.

Ok so I moved to a new location roughly the same radial distance from the private airport and this time got a gps signal and was denied take off until I unlocked the area but the lessoned learned here is it appears that when you are "discovered" flying in a restricted area once the GPS signal is acquired the software flies the drone off to who knows where. Had I been at a higher altitude I might have just simply watched it fly away to see where it would stop but since I was only a couple of feet off the ground I wasn't about to let the software crash the drone.

This deserves its own new thread.

That is weird alright. Hope this isn't going to be the new norm
