For those getting to Acworth on Friday afternoon, some of us are meeting for dinner at 5 (before restaurants get crowded.) Sometime around 6:30-7:00, we are going to move to the lake for a test formation flight using the Wingman software. If you fly with an IOS device you are invited to participate; download the "Wingman For DJI" software from the app store.
Training on Saturday will start at 9 AM. Meet and greet at the pavilion we have reserved by the beach before then. First up is introductions by everyone. Then we will start flying at 9 before it gets hot. There will be two stations for you to fly:
At 1 PM we will start flying again. You are welcome to fly any station again after everyone else has been through. In the afternoon there will be opportunities for you to try the virtual reality DJI RE Goggles and Epson Moverio Goggles. You will see a demo of an M2ED for those that are considering acquiring one. If Allen (BigA107) makes it down as he is trying to do, he will have a special surprise for us.
Around 5, we will have the "Apocalypse Now" climactic formation flight out over the lake. Anyone with an IOS device is welcome to participate. Unless someone is coming further than 911 miles, Doug Bell will get the cool (and collectible) DSAR hat. We will also have some neat DSAR mugs (courtesy of Tim Ganey's wife) to pass out - one of which Doug will get.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to synergize, socialize and collaborate. There's a great beach on the lake, so of course families are welcome. Swim without worrying about sharks or jellyfish. Families are welcome to mingle and join us in the a/c classroom for lunch and hear the presentations if they want. Any family member that wants to fly is also welcome.

- the Grid Search over the lake looking for a lost paddleboat
- the Damage Assessment Flight to the buildings to the north that we will simulate were hit by a tornado. You will be asked (taught) how to do good manual orbits for damage assessment.
