Ok, an update. I got home from Thailand and took the Mavic apart to try clean off the salt better. It looked a MESS inside the bottom panel. Covered in salt. The top circuit board (the one you see after removing the top of the Mavic) seemed perfectly fine. The bottom panel you remove, I think...

I cant say for absolute certain, but there were no birds anywhere to be seen. There might have been a random one that I hadn't seen, but I don't think so. One propeller had come off and one had snapped in half when I got it back from the sea. I stupidily didn't do anything about the salt...

I thought about a battery issue at first. The battery was installed into the Mavic as normal, and IF the battery had been the cause of the crash, surely there would be no video signal if the battery had come out. If you look at the video, there's a couple of seconds after it starts to fall :(

The first one was zoomed in yes. I wanted to show the problem a little better :) The second one isn't zoomed at all. I honestly can't remember what the ISO, Shutter Speed etc were on the photos. However, I've seen this problem a few times and tried playing around with different settings.

Hi, I am having an issue with photos I take being washed out / like an oil painting (see images). Most likely it's something I'm doing wrong with the camera settings. I am not using a filter (plan to buy soon), so is it a brightness problem? Thanks for any help.

Were you able to get yours exchanged? I'm in Istanbul and bought it from a fairly reputable drone / hobby retailer here, so I'll go in tomorrow and see what they say.

I just received my Mavic a couple of days ago and was really disappointed in the test footage from my first play around with it. The video was taken in 4k / 30 with the plastic dome off. The temperature was about 0'c. The footage I have seems A LOT worse than the other videos I have seen here...
