Went on a road trip from Colorado to Washington then down the coast to southern CA.
This is some video I shot in HLG right inside Astoria, OR.
I still can't make up my mind between HLG and DLog....
The cruise control will literally hold whatever input you have on the drone when you trigger it. Tried on orbit (sideways plus yaw), curve flight, straight, etc... Have not attempted during ascent or descent yet.
Couldn't agree more. It's another thing I've added to my preflight checks because of this incident. I appreciate the explanation and it does make sense.
Correct. But DJI is failing to elaborate for me on what exactly the "issue" is. Just that there seemed to be an error and they have sent me a new drone (sitting on my desk, debating selling it because I purchased a replacement figuring I was screwed as I didn't purchase care-refresh.)
I'm just happy they're doing something about it. It was "clearly a mechanical failure" and they suspect rear motor failure (rear right) and possible that other hardware failures occurred. This was made even more suspect with the lack of accessible cache video and controller disconnects on video...
The pad was made of a rubberized plu material wrapped around 6 plastic boards. Roughly 3ftx3ft.
Melaterial of area was gravel and dirt.
DJI is replacing the drone free of charge and it to be a mechanical failure of some sort
