    Anyone in Nova Scotia

Provincial parks would be managed differently. It to say they won't disallow it but different chain of government so one would not impact the other.

    Anyone in Nova Scotia

The letter is interesting. I have to say I like it and don't at the same time, if that makes sense. It opens up a lot of space to fly. The problem as I see it is it leaves things too broad and open for the recreational user. I'll have to print a copy and keep it with me as I'm sure someone...

    Anyone in Nova Scotia

Yes if they give permission however don't forget there are 2 hospital pads and the one at Point Pleasant that may creep into where you want to fly. Also I wouldn't be calling Shearwater daily or they will simply say no. As for flying and staying below the ceiling as long as you are not in a...

    Anyone in Nova Scotia

The harbour is almost completely NFZ. The Bedford side and a small area around Shannon Park are ok. Down the shore from Shearwater is NFZ to Musquodoboit Harbour except for a small area near Lawrencetown Beach. The entire peninsula is NFZ also due to the Dock Yard and 3 heliports. Careful...

    Canadian drone law

I am waiting to see if insurance companies come out with insurance like in the US covering liability and accident/damage in one policy. Some are reporting between $40 and $60 per year. Crash your drone and they pay out, no deductable.

    Anyone in Nova Scotia

I have had some good days since I got mine. I'm in Dartmouth. Last night would have been interesting. Blew the roof off a building on Wyse. Sent from my iPhone using MavicPilots

    Powerbank to Charge Mavic Batteries

I know all that. I should have explained that remotely means I won't be near my vehicle and I'm looking for options to get more flight time out of the 3 batteries I have when hiking. I can often be away from any power (vehicle or other) for 8-12 hours. The power bank should allow me to...

    Powerbank to Charge Mavic Batteries

Has anyone used a power bank to charge the Mavic batteries when flying remotely. I'm looking at the Omnicharge20 as an option. Has any tried this and how long does it take to charge up a battery. Omnicharge | FIRST SMART POWER BANK WITH AC/DC OUTLET

    Backpack

I saw yours. I like that. I do have a Maxpedition sling bag that I could fit everything into if I wanted to cut it down to something smaller. I plan to fly often when I hike. I don't carry my DSLR with me when I'm hiking, but I can see where your option may be of some use if I was doing a...

    Backpack

I agree that the DJI bag with the fly more bundle would not suit my needs. I'm looking at a bag that will allow me to provide the protection I want for the Mavic while letting me carry my usual items I would have in my day bag when I hike. This is what I'm looking at: Custom Backpack Fits the...

    Battery Warmer

Great idea maikm. Probably cheaper and more convenient than having something that needs to be plugged in. Thanks!

    Battery Warmer

I am looking for options to warm the Mavic battery before flight. Here in Canada it is said we have 10 months of Winter and 2 months of bad sledding. It isn't quite that bad, but I would like to have an option to keep the warm before flight. I have seen threads pointing to 3D print files, but...

    Show me your bag/case!

I am looking for a hard case that I would be able to carry my Mavic, everything from the fly more bundle and an iPad mini. I would rather not have something that is pluck and pull. I like the look of a molded insert better. Has anyone seen something like this or something that could be...
