    Hmm interesting, AirMap is spot on in my area. Maybe there was an ADS-B issue, or the helo didn’t have ADS-B.

    Look into AIRMAP. It connects to the DJI remote and will display aircraft as well as other drones in your area. It also is a great LAANC portal!

    Looking into getting a set of filters for my Mavic Platinum, and wanted to pick brains. What are your thoughts on polarizing filters. I’ve read they have to be set according to sun angle but then as you fly, that angle changes and then they aren’t effective. Thoughts?

    LAANC

    So no where in LAANC documents were my home airports getting it in the last wave. So I filed authorizations. Well today they were denied cause of LAANC. Turns out several airports that weren’t on the list got LAANC yesterday. So if you weren’t expecting it, check you may get a surprise!

    There are ways to do what you did, most likely the parade wasn’t an impromptu event, you could have filed for waivers and they would have NOTAMed your presence, as well as use another runway.

    Sorry but you may be hosed. Thats going to fall under reckless and careless operation. You shouldn’t be in the direct flight path of any aircraft. They were most likely expecting you to be down 211 away from flight paths.
