Yes mine is being taken back by DJI for analysis. Looses its GPS location midway through flights no matter how strong the signal. Then of course just drifts off.

I don't think take off location or compass would have any effect on acquiring or losing GPS?

Could be. I think this drone wanders. Once it couldn't understand its satellite data any more, It just drifted away and lost contact. It does have a problem flying straight as well. I will work on that as a separate issue (everything recalibrated except the controller due to the software not...

Maybe it drifted a long way and found some obstruction that I didn't notice.

After fly off there were trees between. When the control dropped out, my estimate is it was in clear air, straight up.

Thanks for the help everyone. Glad there was some consensus on what happened. Still not sure why the controller dropped out, but there looks to be no good reason the Mavic didn't know where it was.

I am using go 4 on Android. Maybe I made a mistake somewhere on my flight mode (not sure I did), but there is no reason the controller should disconnect with the drone close and in line of sight. Sure, at that point it went nuts on where it was and flew off randomly.

Might be this one? What 26 things did I do wrong, other than guessing it went West, when it went North? ; 0

Thanks for the tips. i felt I waited and had many satallites visible, but as you say, lock is different. Not sure why the controller would lose all control 50m away though?

I can see the flight logs on the app, but how do I share or find the txt file? Sorry for newbie questions.
