that rapid beeping sounds like the obstacle avoidance beep to me. Are the sensors blocked somehow? Maybe its taking off and thinking its about to crash, so it crashes to avoid a crash? :-)
I've had some success with craigslist and also by talking to real estate agents. Mostly its word of mouth though. People that know I am a pilot have mentioned me to others in need of drone work. Perhaps create a clip reel you can use to show off your work? I thought getting my license would...
I've flown with other MPs without problems. I have a friend with a P3 standard and when we fly together I've had some problems. When the two controllers get within about 5-10 feet of each other I start getting radio interference. If we move farther away from each other everything is fine again.
I'm pretty sure that would be a civil trial, not criminal and would be very difficult for them to prove you were actually above their property, and that they suffered any damages. For the morons claiming they will shoot down drones, remind them they are risking actual lives in their community in...
I have to disagree...
It is NOT a gray area. They have NO control of the airspace over their property and there are no legal grounds for a criminal complaint. Furthermore, your explanation of "invading privacy" is not quite on the mark. As a legal definition you can take photos and video in...
Got my goggles recently and am mostly happy with them. The fit isn't the greatest but its a minor complaint, and theres a bit too much light leak around the bottom but maybe I just have a misshapen head?
In any case, I am wondering what else are they good for? Does anyone make an interface...
I'm curious though, aren't they opening themselves up to litigation by taking on the role of a regulatory agency? If they unlock an area that ends up causing an incident they are likely more culpable than if they just left it up to the government.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the custom built, heavy lift drones immune from the NFZ firmware? And the tiny drones like Mavics with almost no payload capacity are restricted? Seems very impractical.
Ryder, exactly, its frustrating to jump through all the hoops to get permission to fly and then your copter refuses to cooperate. There must be some avenue for dealing with this?
I've had various issues with my Mavic but this one takes the cake (and the electrons) I went to charge my controller as it was down to 64% and I am traveling tomorrow eve, planned on bringing it with me. I inserted the USB cable and apparently managed to bend the tiny "tongue" inside the...
Then the lady started asking is that my drone, I said yes and added just flying around. And out of the blue in an intimidating tone of voice @ least as it sounded to me..she said "Don't ever fly in my backyard or I will shoot it down".
What I would have liked to say... Me: "Is that your...
tricky business as up-to-date firmware is a requirement for legal flight under part 107. It'd be nice if stuff just worked as advertised.
Addendum: I just got an email from DJI advising me to downgrade from the latest firmware in order to unlock NFZ areas where I have a COW/A to fly. So...
