Did you see the video above? Are you able to do that with your Mavic Pro with just moving your finger around on the screen. First part of video Mavic 2 not even moving, I'm doing all that just by moving the camera with my finger on the screen.
Sure... First part I have Mavic 2 Pro stationary. Only camera is moving by me hard pressing on phone display. Second part I am moving the drone with my right hand and using left thumb to press and move around camera using phone display. Now obviously one has to be careful to not pan to far left...
Because it opens up more creative options. See Inspire with 360 degree gimbal. You can be flying in one direction but control the camera separately. That's dope. Mavic 2 pro camera can't do a 360 but it can do a decent horizontal pan.
Now this may change everything for me or perhaps for everyone...
Can someone confirm for me if horizontal camera panning (that you can control) was on previous drones???

Absolutely! Any knowledgeable drone pilot knows that literally the first three things you do before you a DJI drone new out of the box is...
1. Update everything... app, controller, and drone (if it shows you there is a new updatea)
2. DO AN IMU CALIBRATION. This thing has been banging around...
Does tripod mode use obstacle avoidance? I have been turning that off since it beeps all over the place when I have it turned on indoors.
Can you explain more what you mean by #5? Are you meaning, don't fly it and just hold it like a camera?
