I live in a NFZ as well but the problem for me is upon booting up the controller is in Atti mode until GPS locks in then drone won't initiate the motors.

Well as for me I've been married for 13yrs and counting. I would say compared to some of my other surprise purchases the Mavic is peanuts compared to a "oh honey I just bought a new motorcycle " so she didn't have to fuss about it lol.

Congratulations on getting your Mavic...1st make sure you're not missing any components from your order..you would need to use the appropriate connection for your phone iOS/android..The S7 is a decent phone to use..download the manual and read it..and read it again..and again before attempting...

I understand that there's a lot of seasoned pilots here but one thing for new pilots especially those launching their Mavic for the first time make sure your in beginners mode. That will at least limit the height and distance in cases as such.

Hey Sean...I live maybe just short of 5miles outside of D.C. I know the struggle all too well. I manage to get some flight time in throughout various parts of Md. I would like to connect with you & maybe we could find somewhere locally near to Mavic..fly safe.

Just turned 52 on 12/16...Ive had my MP for a month now. I just so happen to live 15mins outside of Washington DC so finding a nice place to fly was a challenge for the 1st week or so. I'm in the air now always seeking new places to go fly. I think later age flying is cool.
