    Remote ID receivers

I don't know which post to attach this to, so I'll start one. Moderators please feel free to correct if it suits. There have been quite a lot of posts on this subject, but things have moved on since I had Dave's, of MileHighDroneServices email today. I have seen the video...

    Max height for RTH

Well, thanks for that, all you good people. I have read the manual, of course, as it is a legal requirement, but I wanted to know what people's experience is. Practical is usually better than theoretical, but I didn't think that most pilots would have come across this problem. Where I was flying...

    Max height for RTH

Does anyone know what a Mini 3 would do on a RTH caused by loss of signal if the max height and RTH height were set to 50m and, on the return, trees got in the way at 51m? Would it automatically brake because it's not allowed over 50m, or would it have to try and go around?

    Advice for shooting modes

@TwoSticks Thank you. Good point. I've got a lot of work to do, haven't I?

@Cymruflyer Thanks for that! I'll get hold of all of this, but slowly, perhaps :)

    Advice for shooting modes

Thank you, Robert. To quote the manual (and it's not very well written) "Pano: Choose from Sphere, 180 Wide Angle, Vertical, Quickshots Choose from Dronie, Rocket, Circle, Helix, Boomerang and Asteroid." I don't think that it was written by a technical author, and it doesn't really explain...

    Advice for shooting modes

Well thanks for that everyone. I called them "Shooting Modes" because that is how they are referred to on page 56 of the Mini 3 Pro v2 User Guide when it is explaining the DJI Fly app. It then further classifies them as "Mastershots, Hyperlapse, Pano and Quickshots". Each one of these headings...

    Advice for shooting modes

Shooting Modes on my Air2S or Mini 3 are a little daunting to a newbie, but I'm trying to take it step by step. Does anyone have any advice on what would be the most appropriate choice to film a large house with a large garden and a small lake, and why it is the most appropriate? There is a...

    Flight Data Center

@mobilehomer. Yes, thanks for that. I'm building up my knowledge slowly, and every new piece of info helps a lot!

    Flight Data Center

@Yorkshire_Pud Hi there. I am not quite sure what you have read into my "other posts" that make you think that I would be deliberately breaking the law, or putting the lives of people or animals at risk. Where did I say that? That is not the case, and I wouldn't behave in a way that might cause...

@old man mavic If you use Edge or Chrome they will translate it for you.

    Flight Data Center

Excellent, @mobilehomer, @Yorkshire_Pud, exactly what I needed. Thanks very much! But that presupposes I haven't allowed access to "the cloud", i.e. DJI servers. Yes? It's an iPhone for my Air2S and a smart controller for my Mini 3.

    Flight Data Center

@old man mavic Hmm. Well, I have a Mini 3, and it makes no difference. If you bothered to examine Geoportail you will see that flight in the red zone is not permitted. I cannot even take off from outside my house, the UAV weight is not relevant. The EU in general has its own set of rules, but...

    Flight Data Center

Perhaps I didn't explain enough. I live in France. Here, it is illegal to fly over a hamlet, a village, town or city. Nearly all houses are painted in RED on their website (Géoportail). So when I send my AIR2S out on a simple photography mission to the local town, if I am not VERY careful, I am...
