I leave mine on, if nothing else but to reduce the wear and tear on the springs. I do switch props out back and forth frequently with my M2P. I like the Endura blades from MAS but they don't do well in high wind (they're also very loud especially with braking). I like the stealth blades the best...
The Inspire 2 has large removable SSD's because when recording at ProRes, typical memory cards can't keep up - their recording speeds are too low. This is likely the thinking behind what they're saying for the Mavic 3.
I've looked into it and there are ground-based ADS-B receivers that will plug into a laptop while you're flying. BUT, what I use is a website called adbsexchange.com as it offers real-time ads-b data for most areas, and it call even run on a cell phone.
I've had a similar issue, and do 2 things to fix it. If this doesn't help OP perhaps could be useful for someone that.
I had the Mavic Air 2 before switching to the Mavic 2 Pro, and I think the compass in the Air 2 is way way better. I also think the gimbal works better as well (although I...
One thing I've found that helps, aside from putting phone in the fridge/cooler before using it, is this cell phone cooling fan I found on Amazon. It works surprisingly well. The downside is that it needs to be connected to power, USB-C so I keep a small battery bank on my pocket while flying...
I took the screws out of the battery and removed the cover. I didn't want to dump alcohol into the battery and cause a short, but I did want to dry it out the best I could. I swabbed everything with a Qtip drenched in alcohol and let it air dry for 24 hours. Put it back together and it flew...
I crashed my Air 2 into a lake. Immediately recovered it, dumped 2 bottles of rubbing alcohol through the vents and everything. Took apart the battery and swabbed it dry with the alcohol. Let it sit for 24 hours and it flew like normal. If you didn't wait too long this could work for you too...
Hi everyone,
I just side-graded from the Air 2 to the Mavic 2 Pro and I'm working on color grading. I tend to prefer a cinematic look for YouTube, or a more vibrant look for Instagram/FB. I've looked at several different luts and I'm really preferring the DJI Lut with some other tweaks. I'm...
I'd like the ability to hot-swap batteries. Maybe if they built a drone with a small onboard battery that could run the drone without motors for up to 2 minutes...
Someone else mentioned the ability to adjust settings without being connected to the drone, that would be awesome.
I'd like more...
A great argument to support drones in National Parks is that drone videos help include those in the Majesty offered by the parks whom can't visit in person due to health reasons, handicapped reasons, financial reasons, etc. I saw a documentary one about the use of helicopters in the grand Canyon...
Allstate will in WA, check with them. They insured it as Sports Equipment. Upped the renters insurance a bit to make it work. Super cheap, I think it was $30 a year to add the drone. $2000 coverage with $500 or $1000 deductable (sorry can't remember). Covers crashes, flyaways, fire and theft...
Getting a 12v charger is much more power efficient than running an inverter to charger off of 110v, especially if you're planning to use a cheap inverter. Inverters can use a lot of power themselves, sometimes exceeding the power needed for your chargers. However, you want to make sure you get a...
