I'm still experiencing disconnects on Nexus 6p. Definitely the app, the phone or connection to phone. The Mav flys fine without the phone attached Latest firmware, all sensors reading normal.
Turbo-air was a phantom 3 I had, turbo mav is my current. I went through the setup with the p3 and the Mav. Pretty sure it's just wizardry on the part of dji
This isn't related to the mavic but thought I would ask it here in case anyone is seeing something similar. I'm not sure when it started but I have I random aircraft showing up in my logs. They all read DJI-Aircraft and have time and distance flown associated with them. This really throws off my...
Thanks for the replies all. I was specifically talking about the normal flying mode, no active track or other modes on, just hovering in place. Was curious to see if it would move back on its own if something got too close to it.

Has anyone tried walking towards their Mavic With Obstacle Avoidance on? Does it fly backwards so that you don't walk into it? The one time I tried it I got around a foot away but the mav just hovered in place and beeped. That was back when the firmware was early, probably the first version...
I flew today with the v4 app and latest firmware and didn't have any problems. It was weird though, I checked out an unfinished cell tower and a few minutes later a black nondescript helicopter flys extremely close to the tower I was flying near. He then circled around my position then flew...
I haven't flown since Sunday, I believe the app was updated the day after. I connected everything tonight and it seemed fine. I'll probably be testing it out again this weekend. Too dark now to fly it after work.

On DJI's website they now have the Nexus 6P as a supported device. I didn't notice if it was listed with the older version of the App. I would think the Pixel would be getting support soon since its Google's version of the iPhone. Guess I can't blame app crashes and disconnects on my phone...
@djholt @Jcage I didn't get to see all these new posts until right now. I flew twice today, first time I used the standard setup with the usb built into the controller. After turning on both the rc and mav, neither of them would connect. occasionally the remote would connect but then immediately...
7.0 with October security patch on 6P, 6.0.1 on the Nexus 7. Also try rebooting right before you fly. I had the phantom 3 before the mavic and sometimes the 6P wouldn't even display video until I rebooted the phone. Did you re-install the app?

I'm thinking it comes down to poor support for newer versions of Android. My Nexus 7 didn't have any issues when I connected it up. App & firmware updates will probably fix it. Still haven't got any news on my ticket.
