    Crazy Litchi Mission Starts

I wish I could say the same. Same mission loaded multiple times... random starts. All instructions are as recommended the only difference was the takeoff point. When the Mavic has to fly backwards to get to its first waypoint, on occasion it would not turn completely around before starting its...

    Crazy Litchi Mission Starts

Has anyone else had issues with Litchi Missions beginning without first orienting the Mavic to the proper heading? Yikes! I’ve had a few really random starts of late. Some of which had the drone turned ninety to one hundred and eighty degrees from its intended heading. As a workaround I begin...

    Versatility of the Mavic Family

Just finished a freebie promo for our local youth football program using a Mavic Pro, a Katana rig for the Mavic, an Osmo Pocket, and my GoPro Hero 4 for audio... Edited on Premiere Pro. I am a fan of DJI’s technology! https://vimeo.com/jppatrick/yacpromo

Mavic Pro Spiraled out of the sky!

Just had that happen to me in Maine... watch at 127 feet. I believe a gull took me out. They were very aggressive up there. My Mavic was in line with the sun so I couldn’t see it at the strike but I sure saw the video image spinning on my IPad mini. Heard the crash too about 160 feet away from...

    Flying through old Iron Bridge

Expect to see compass problems resulting in extreme flight deviations. I’ve done this on an iron bridge and had to land immediately to avoid a crash. I had been shooting all around it without problems, even venturing under it, but when I tried to fly through the bridge length wise... my Mavic...

Newark airport shut down in US due to drone sightings

How may YouTube videos have we seen of imbecilic drone enthusiasts pushing the vertical limits of their aircraft? Some have even done it through dense cloud cover subverting every FAA guideline... Abusers will ruin our hobbies and livelihoods with reckless stunts like this. I’m hoping they’ll...

    Neighbor shooting at my drone.

I’d search for and print the FAA documents regarding interfering with a drone pilot and or aircraft. Send copies to the sheriff and your neighbor with an overly polite letter about educating the public on the increasing use of drones and public airspace as designated by the federal agency...

Mavic 2 Fatal Flaw: Broken Camera/Gimbal?

Interesting that no one spotted a possible issue using polished metal and adhesives. In most applications it would be suggested that both contact surfaces be burnished or scored to enhance the glue’s grip. Very odd that DJI would miss this considering the technological prowess evidenced in all...

Mavic Pro boring for me once I learned I can't fly out of LOS

Try learning how to fly precise cinematic moves.. Use the Mavic as a movie making tool rather than a flying toy. It’s a lot more difficult than you might think. Or, get a racing drone.

Mavic Air briefly fell out of the sky, then steadied itself.

Try keeping line of sight like the FAA rules suggest. You’ll know what happened next time.

    Mavic Pro Battery Error

It’s a good idea to charge a battery right before you use it then make sure to discharge it as much as possible and store it that way. Charge before use, discharge store and repeat. I guess the batteries have limits to their intelligence.
