the other companies are not creating things from scratch.. they are using the SDK provided by dji and they are not perfect. your comments imply the apps around that use the sdk work wonderfully. many of them have issues.
dji just happens to be slower on the release cycle.
android is a nightmare, not because the hardware or the os are a problem, but ****** manufacturers doing bad software and the huge market segmentation make it really hard to do a good release.
some times same android device (brand and model) have different hardware depending on country, not...
thats a separate release from the FW and its up to developers to work it out, this is where that information is available DJI Developer the SDK versions and the FW versions are not usually related. and they can release new SDK version with fixes without an FW release.
a little proof on yaggi performance.

theres people with RC...

here in europe having a device that will block GPS will land you in jail instantly.
i just found out that my Arnette sunglasses case fit the mavic controller perfectly, and it also fits back into the mavic flymore bag protecting the controller a little bit more and not forcing the sticks.
i think using operator it's more to indicate the person handling the operation (the actual planning and execution of a job) pilot can be better referred as the person actually controlling the drone.
terms adapt to new ages who's to say that in 50 years passenger planes will have a live pilot in...
i wouldn't be surprised that some dji components are made there, Foxconn is the place to go when you have to do complex circuitry.
even big players with their own factories use them like samsung or sony
