I just got one of the "China" cases for my mavic. About £13 and i'm well impressed with it's quality and compactness. It holds the mavic, 2 extra battery's, the controller and the charger, there is also a mesh bit in the lid for my ipad mini/spare props etc.

I use a mini2, It only has the lightning cable. As to battery life that does seem excessive to use 30% in 20 mins. Full brightness won't be helping though, you could try reducing that a bit.

Can I ask what sort of quality vinyl you'll be using. Is it cast or calendared?
