Following this thread. About to order an Air 3, but concerned about 'locked down' controllers and firmware that cannot be rolled back - that's just not right. Firmware is released with a bug, so the user HAS to be able to roll back to a stable version. Oh, the calamity, dogs and cats living...
It's the challenge. Why do people climb a mountain? They might get hurt or even lose their life. So, it's a bit of a 'rush' to fly out and back successfully because you're pushing the envelope (the rules), the machine, and your skills.
@JohnDS Did you ever decide on one? New user here with a used Air 2S. I admit, it's confusing as DJI released 26 consumer models in the past 8 years. Why so many?
Alright, guys... CapCut runs fine on my ~$100 refurbished Dell Optiplex 5050 and did import and render the .mp4 H.265 clips from my Air 2S - good enough for now. If I get into serious video editing, I'll check into a more serious PC and video card.
The adventure is just beginning, and I've got...
I suppose my hardware is not setup to do anything special, but has worked ok with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12. It's a Dell Optiplex 5050, i5 @ 3.2Ghz, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 530 video adapter which I think is just the stock motherboard graphics. I use 3 HDMI ports to HDTV monitors.
I have...
Good to find this info. Trying Davinci Resolve here and it is crashing all the time rendering a 15 min clip. Seems to be a known problem. Maybe my PC needs more RAM, better video card... but it is frustrating.
Trying to get a regulations flow chart started. Anyone should be able to view and edit this from the link:

Code of Federal Regulations, title-14, chapter-I, subchapter-F, part-107: 26 pages for flying a quadcopter.
(Note: US Constitution: 16 pages for starting a country.)
Has someone created a flow chart for part 107?
Thanks, guys. I'm reading on here about the necessary training, rules and regulations. It's a new feeling to fly something by first-person view, have it actually get out of sight, perhaps out of range, and it come back and land by itself.
Done R/C airplanes on and off for decades. New to DJI. Just got an Air 2S - this thing is fantastic. Mainly plan to take it on jet ski trips to video the ride and look out for sharks on private beaches.
Interested. Bear with me as I try to understand what controller and displays it includes. Is that an RCN1 controller? 2 displays not in the picture?
