    Hanger 360

I downloaded the app. According to the opening tutorial it doesn't do well with water. I suppose it has difficulty stitching images with lack of detail. Can anyone confirm this? I'm going to the beach next week and would love to try this. Barring that what is the recipe to get the images...

Should "Mavic" be added to spellcheck......

People who don't proofread is one of my pet peeves. But, mea culpa, I let one slip through every once in a while... And, yes, for God's sake, add Mavic to spellcheck!

    litchi waypoints

Yes! I learned this the hard way with a mission in the mountains. I set my POI something like 12 feet and pondered for a while why the subject was out of frame...reasoned through it and realized I needed to be much higher since the POI was on top of the mountain, something like 500 feet above...

    DJI firmware update. When?

I agree. Both Autopilot and Litchi have stated that their apps are unstable *after* the firmware update to 0.500. I feel that if it was on the app side DJI would have told the devs how to code around this and we would have some fixes by now, but that hasn't happened either. It's hard to know...

    Litchi Waypoints Mavic Help

I had the same issue with one of my missions. The error message is misleading. What it is really trying to say, at least in my case, is that one or more of your waypoints exceeds your maximum altitude. If you have max altitude set at 120m, then 400' is too high. 120m equals 393.7. I lowered...

    Fake or not.

Ha ha. Enjoying this thread. Some people have way too much time on their hands or perhaps just misplaced priorities.

    Low-altitude waypoint mission...

Excellent! Got some footage for us?

    Low-altitude waypoint mission...

I'm not sure I would have the guts to try what you are doing, but I'm wondering if VPS is kicking in and raising your altitude?

Tired off .500 so I am back on .400

Two third party apps have warned users that some modes of flight are problematic with the .500 firmware. This is not paranoia or conspiracy theory, but proven, tested, reproducible issues.

Tired off .500 so I am back on .400

I just finished downgrading to 400. Reading too much on here about issues. I don't trust litchi at all, even if they do say only certain modes are affected. Also itching to try autopilot. I'd have thought dji would have released a fix by now, but they don't seem to be in a hurry, so...

Comparison video of D log and regular mode?

Lots of answers to that question. Pick your favorite video editor. I use davinci resolve. It's free and I'm still learning so it's a good fit for me. Google davinci resolve color grading and you will find lots of help.

Getting consistent Photos weekly over the course of months

Litchi will do what you are looking for. You can set up the mission in the mission hub website our within the app. If you use straight paths vs curved you can also set up actions at each waypoint, one of which is take picture. You can control yaw angle and gimbal angles as well. I've been...

Comparison video of D log and regular mode?

That is one of the most articulate posts I've read on here. I've been lurking on the water color thread for a while now, and to be honest, the opinions there are all over the place. I am a scientist by trade and your systematic approach appeals to me. For myself, I plan to start out at...

Can the Mavic Pro be set to focus like the P3P does?

I've read on another thread that hyperfocal distance for the Mavic is about 13m or 43ft. I've tried hovering at this height, pointing the gimbal down and manually focusing. It works well.

    Litchi mission close call

Where trees are concerned I always provide at least 150 foot buffer AGL. Every crash I've had with my phantom has involved a tree so I'm not f'ing around with them any more. I am really glad you had the wherewithal to be able to stop in time. Nice job. I would've needed a change of pants for sure.
