If you are familiar with Photoshop, you can use the transform and warp tools and get better results in straightening out wide angle distortion. There are several good videos on Youtube to demonstrate this. This is the method I use to straighten all my photos whether with camera or drone.

Just a crazy thought, have you tried to contact DJI support? I know not many people like calling that line, but sometimes the most obvious is your better course of action. They may offer so reset solutions or offer to replace based on your findings. Just a thought?

Yes..but it only takes a a few minutes for each battery.

The direction of force is from the rear of the craft and at a shallow angle. Like others have said, it appears the craft was low or at a long distance. My guess is low altitude. Looking at the damage it appears to be done all at once.…not from mechanical rubbing. Probably not burn melting...

The drone did suffer damage. The lower sensors / lenses were melted and damaged. He reports while he got the drone back, it does fly erratically now. probably a total loss but hey...at least he got the footage This is What Happens When You Fly a Drone Into a Volcano

Oh well...gave it a try. Using the DNG embedded in this thread I ran it through LR. Tried basic edits and exporting to JPM, TIFF, BMP and it still retained the magenta line. I tried cleaning it up with the content aware tool grabbing a wide swath and using a light tint with the gradient tool...

Good thought Brojon...of the jpg previewer. Could someone process the image with a defect with basic LR adjustments and export it. Then let’s see if there is a magenta line.
