Cheap fix is a strip of window weather seal. The bridge of my nose was painful pressed against the edge, making the goggles almost unusable. This method fixed that, and allowed me to pull the goggles down a little to see more of the screen with less blur. Here is a pic someone posted.

I like the fact it’s not just more efficient, but quieter also.

Smart controller would allow you to plug DJI goggles in to the Hdmi Is an other option. Both can be found on eBay etc for a lot less than they originally cost, as they are both rather dated now.

Hi, I’m also in your location. I fly the mini 3 and always try to shade it with my shadow untill taking off, as it can quickly get hot if you leave it in the sun and mess around with the menu settings before taking off.. Hovering for a length of time will also cause it to get hot, personally...

How do the Epson Maverio compare to the old DJI goggles in use, are they noticeably better ? The DJI goggles can be had fairly cheap on eBay now days, making them an option maybe worth considering, if you already have the RC pro . I use the DJI goggles plugged in to my RC pro Hdmi out mostly...

Not sure why your goggles won’t connect. I have a M2Z that works with both the white and the black RE goggles. I occasionally use goggles with my Mini 2 and Mini 3 via the Hdmi on the smart controller, and RC pro controller, but obviously with no gimbal control.

There is a certain excitement testing the boundaries, going far beyond line of sight. I think once I took each new drone I bought to its range limit at a few locations and got that out the way, I then start to focus on trying to make quality recordings.

Yes available in black and grey,. I cut out a bit more foam in my small hard case to accept the Mini 3 with the hood still attached, so it will stay on permanently. The props only just sit in place though when legs are folded ! I‘ve always just used a strip of Velcro to hold the props in place...

Arriving today, seems a little bit expensive, but could be handy, the ones I have for my M2 and MPZ allowed me to dispense with using the gimbal protection cover and just leave the hood on permanently, though obviously the cover gives a bit more protection Apologies if already covered.

No problems with using the sticks controls. The remote screen is just about bright enough for every day use, but if you fly in very sunny locations, the sun shade makes a big difference. I also have one on my old smart controller, but this one seems to come out a little more, giving even more shade.

Very good on sunny days, as the nits on this remote are not as bright as both smart controllers, or even some phones. No need to remove, as it’s soft enough to go flat when storing your drone. quite like the legs also.

I do the same… using the foam to keep the gimbal in the correct position. I had the hood for my M2Z and Mini 2, and never used the default cover,but as yet there is not one for the Mini 3, as the gimbal sticks out further, thus needing a different design, if it’s actually possible to design one...

I saw a demo on You Tube, it will lose you if you go faster than a casual cycle speed . A cycle will cause it to lose you, if you speed up to a brisk pace. It lost the guy on his powered wcateboard 😅

When I added the hack for the Mini 2, adding FCC, there was a noticeable improvement. A matter of time before available for MM3 I guess.

Spotters, with mobiles, plus you RC map, can keep a drone in sight beyond 500 mtr, relatively safely out of town. The powerful mini strobe light can also help to see it.
