Fly out along the path of least resistance (i.e. leave the way you came). Probably involves flying backwards. Since the mavic has no rearward or upward sensors, you should always be able to go backwards or up. Also, use care when switching things off. Turning off VPS entirely would leave you...

My gimbal lock was also not installed properly on arrival.. Fortunately mine seems to work fine.

It'll probably destroy compatibility with any Android version after 3.2 or on Android devices with screens larger than 3" and also devices smaller than 42" or Android devices whose operating system starts with "A" or which contain a power/lock button.

I'd punch a hovering X4, but I sure wouldn't punch a hovering mavic... I know you can do as much damage, but all else being equal the Mavic is gonna do a lot more harm.
