How difficult is it to replace Mavic rear arm?

FYI, The thread where we discussed the repair is called "Lead free solder" I can't figure out how to link it here, but there are some pics of my repair there if you are interested.

How difficult is it to replace Mavic rear arm?

I finally replaced my right rear arm last week after the support tab being broken for a couple of months. It was glued 4 times, but continually re-broke and I probably made 30 or so flights with it broken. Honestly, it didn't affect the flight quality or "feel" noticeably. I did however...

    Lead Free Solder?

Here's the update... The Hakko FX-888D worked perfectly. Set at 800 degrees it broke the solder joints in a second or less. The new rear arm is installed (I decided to stick with the lead free solder) and my Mavic is flying like new.

Thanks. I'll definitely need to get a wider tip then. Is all the lead free solder the same? Not sure what diameter or alloy to ask for...

    Lead Free Solder?

Does anyone know the proper solder used on the Mavic? I'm replacing a rear arm. I have read here that the solder joints require high heat, so I'm assuming the solder is lead free. I don't know anything about this type of solder, so I'm not sure what to get. Alloy, temp, diameter, etc. Any...

How difficult is it to replace Mavic rear arm?

Thanks. That's just what I need! The mechanical stuff is no problem, but I'm not much of an electronics guy, I don't solder much. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on a decent iron. It's just the power connection to the motor that needs soldering? How involved is the rest, just a few screws...

How difficult is it to replace Mavic rear arm?

I tangled with some branches and had a minor crash a few weeks ago. At the time I didn't notice any damage, but subsequently I realized that there was an increased amount of vertical play in the right rear arm. Turns out I cracked the over-extension stop tab (it's directly above the joint). I...

    new firmware

Just updated via wifi. Smooth download, no issues. However, for some reason, whenever I attempt to do this at home, (for previous updates) my wifi continually disconnects unless I am next to the wifi router. does the controller cause interference?

At this level, yes. I've been limited to playing around with minis and simulators up to now. Figured it was time to get serious! I'm glad to have found this group as I'm sure I'm going to have some questions.
