I finally replaced my right rear arm last week after the support tab being broken for a couple of months. It was glued 4 times, but continually re-broke and I probably made 30 or so flights with it broken. Honestly, it didn't affect the flight quality or "feel" noticeably. I did however...

Here's how it came out.

Here's the update... The Hakko FX-888D worked perfectly. Set at 800 degrees it broke the solder joints in a second or less. The new rear arm is installed (I decided to stick with the lead free solder) and my Mavic is flying like new.

I'll roll the dice on it. Thanks for all the advice. I'll let you know how it pans out.

Hmmmm.... I was going to buy this Hakko FX 888D-23BY, but my friend offered to lend me his Weller. I don't want to waste my money though. Any Idea if This would be up to the task?

Just updated via wifi. Smooth download, no issues. However, for some reason, whenever I attempt to do this at home, (for previous updates) my wifi continually disconnects unless I am next to the wifi router. does the controller cause interference?
