I just got back from a trip to Bend, OR and took the Mavic along for one of the hikes we did near Sisters, OR. Was able to fly along the river to video some of the waterfalls, which was cool. I've order a set of ND filters because some of the whitewater was overexposed on the bright sunny day...
I live in Lakeland Hills, right above the area....They plan to build warehouses eventually.
I went down yesterday around noon and found 3 other flyers down there. Two of the flyers had planes out and the third had a typhoon. However, they all owned quads as well.
Cheers!
A few more flights and I am really liking the Mavic. Found I was able to fly POV easier than line of sight. Only got 500' away and 200' high, but at that distance the Mavic is basically invisible to me. Even when closer I looked up to find it and couldn't find it if it was hovering. LOL
Still...
Looking forward to meeting other in my area and learning about the Mavic.

Look for my other posts and THANKS AGAIN to all of those who helped!
I have a Spark on order, but am second guessing whether or not I just "buy once \ cry once" and upsell myself to a Mavic.
I'm looking for feedback from Mavic owners on ease of use and portability, which was why I pre-ordered the spark initially.
Is the Mavic easy to transport, launch, and fly...
