Paradoxically, I think being near sighted might work in your favour as the image seems to be projected close to your face.

I can not find any statement from DJI where they specify a distance for the focal plane. If 3m is true then mine must be faulty and I just need to get them repaired because 3m would be fine.

Then I apologise, it was not my intention. I can focus on something 11" in front of my eye, and I can't focus on the goggles so I estimate 9" (I did it again) I have not gone beyond the menu so I am assuming it doesn't change when you start flying. I have not activated them in case it affected...

I agree 100% about the focal plane, it is WAY too close. I estimate 9" on mine and I want to find out if it is the same with other users. I don't wear glasses but I now realise I cant focus on anything closer than 11", not a problem in normal life, I dont hold books newspapers etc that close to...

I think DJI have made the focal plane of the goggles too close. It seems about 9 inches. At least mine are 9 inches (estimate within an inch or 2). Focusing on something that close for extended periods will not do any ones eyes much good.

If I read the logs correctly, you were in ATTI for (only) a fraction of a second on both logs. FWIW I have flown on the other side of the A30 in the crabtree plantation (is that correct name) with no issues. However, I dont think a blip of less than a second would have registered with me.
