I was never told to update my batteries' firmware. Is that odd?

I bought my Mavic in February of 2017 but updated the firmware for the very first time only yesterday. I was expecting after the update was completed that when I swapped out the battery that had been used during the update for the spare battery and then entered DJI Go that it would tell me I...

"sys warning, check app" error on controller??

Thanks. I didn't find any relevant information about a warning in the file stored in the DJI app folder. And I may upload the log file stored on the drone itself, but my only worry is that if I connect my drone to DJI Assistant and login, it will brick the drone until I update the firmware. I...

"sys warning, check app" error on controller??

I went to fly my mavic for the first time in 2 years today. I am using a new phone. I have not updated the firmware since first buying the mavic in February of 2017 because I was suspicious of all the new restrictions DJI was putting on the drones. So I always fly with Litchi instead of the DJI...

What is a good, not too expensive LG phone to use with the Mavic?

I got the original Mavic back in 2017, but I haven't flown for a year and a half now because since updating the operating system (to "oreo" I think) on my LG G5 it no longer was able to connect to the Mavic. I also was busy with a lot of other stuff and couldn't bother getting a separate phone...

Cheapest reliable android phone for dedicated use with mavic pro?

I had been using an LG G5, which worked perfectly. But after upgrading to the Oreo operating system the phone can no longer connect to the controller. This made me realize that using a drone with your everyday phone is a horrible idea. I'd like to have a phone that I only use for flying. I don't...

Unable to connect to Litchi anymore

Thanks for the suggestions. Do you use it as a dedicated drone-operating device or as a phone too?

Unable to connect to Litchi anymore

No, I'm way past that. The problem really is with the operating system. It's actually the Oreo operating system (I misspoke when I said it was Nougat). The workaround I found for a different model LG phone was to access developer options, connect the phone to the controller, then toggle...

Unable to connect to Litchi anymore

After a bit more googling around I'm pretty sure I found the problem. The problem isn't with Litchi or with any other app. The problem is with connecting to the controller. Specifically, the problem is that after I upgraded my LG G5 to the Nougat version of the Android operating system, the...

    Lg G6 connection trouble

I tried this method with my LG G5 running Nougat and it doesn't work. I like the idea of it, and it seems to work initially in that it gets my phone to calm down after repeatedly detecting and alerting me to a USB connection, but the connection that it finally stabilizes is just the charging...

Unable to connect to Litchi anymore

But what I don't understand is how the drone or app know that I need to update. Can someone confirm if Litchi's servers communicate with the app in the background (even if you aren't running the app) and tell the app to no longer let me connect with the mavic at some point?

Unable to connect to Litchi anymore

I never used to have problems before with connecting to Litchi, but I haven't flown in a little over a year and am flying a mavic pro on a 2 year-old firmware version* and using Litchi version 3.10.9 (which must be about the same age). That outdatedness shouldn't be a problem though because I've...

How hard would it be to simulate litchi missions in google earth?

I am running it on a 64 bit machine (windows 8). I don't get error messages but I have to open files in a very particular way for it to work, and even then it often behaves very bizarrely. First I download the mission to one folder (folder B), and rename it to "litchi_mission.csv". Then I open...

Is it possible to follow the authorization process without being forced to update app or firmware?

Ok thanks. That makes sense, but I can imagine them implementing something in their app which would check the server for a "kill switch" which would change some setting in the app and prevent you from flying even if you dont update. But I guess I'm just being really paranoid.

Is it possible to follow the authorization process without being forced to update app or firmware?

I want to be able to fly in an "enhanced warning zone". To do this I need to get authorization by logging in. But the DJI GO app that I have is from April and the firmware that I have is from January. If I turn internet data on with my phone and start the dji app will it force me to update...

DJI to restrict non-compliant drones at next software update

For some reason you insist on misreading just about everything I said in my post and just about everything Adiru says in his posts. Everything you've said about the mavic in your post is either entirely correct or is an expression of your opinion, which is fine. Adiru, on the other hand...
