Air 3 Release date Wed. June 28?

as mentioned above 1" sensor area is 116 sq mm. 4/3s have 225 sq mm. The "Micro" part is meaningless WRT the sensor - 4/3rds is the sensor size developed by Olympus and a couple of other DSLR camera companies that had penta prism (reflex) and moving mirror shutter systems.. When Olympus and...

Air 3 Release date Wed. June 28?

Really.. a 1" sensor is 116mm2 and a 4/3 is 225mm2! a nearly 100% increase in sensor area might be invisible to a blind person.

DJI Care+ additional cover option.. Do they prompt you?

In a few weeks my 12 Month Care Refresh expires and so long as I don't use my second replacement I'll be eligable to purchase Care+.. so I want to ask; Do they (DJI) send an invitation to opt in for another year or send a reminder that its expiring and tell you to get on-board before the ship...

Flying in narrow gorge, over water, with zero satellites

The drifting was just local air currents - all air, even in an enclosed canyon is not stationary and the drone is flying in an air packet that has its own "life" (drifting) and plenty of things are acting on that packet of air to move it, including the drone itself and your drone just sits...

Airdata, downloads, a question or perhaps several question.

I think that's one of the "features" offered in their Premium subscription under the 'Reports' Tab.. I have the basic sub and that doesn't offer any reports. It would be interesting to see what filter options are available and if it could be done with a one month sub.. don't think I can upgrade...

Two weeks underwater, 3 rescue attempts.. A long story of drowned drone and determination..

I'll admit full "brain-fade" "kernel-dump" "dumb-***" move.. It was like I had a switched to another mode of stick control and was flying fixed wing.. (I have flown different modes and fixed wing but mostly with a Spectrum DX6i and sim S/W on a PC). It went like this: Nice long run down the...

Supplying Airdata with DJI account credentials..

I have qualms about all of them... ..so you just rely on local logs and upload manually.. is that suitable for a Care Refresh claim? (WHO told you I was paranoid?)

Supplying Airdata with DJI account credentials..

I have recently signed up for a paid Airdata subscription as I have ticked over 100 flights which were uploaded manually.. I am pretty careful and security conscious with any account credentials and resisted supplying my DJI login to AIrdata. Does anybody else have reservations about that sort...

Suggestion to DJI.. Min Alt Setting..

It seems it not for you then. And your described own use (Real Estate) is a long way from the "use situation" I described which leads me to believe you didn't read much more than the first line of either of my posts. Also, the idea was not to obtain a 100% security.. it was about assistance...

Suggestion to DJI.. Min Alt Setting..

Thanks for the replies and generally positive feedback.. for the interested I fly an Air 2S. My idea is mostly about flying at a height that you don't want to descend any lower because there is a risk beneath that level. We're all supposed to be VLOS so can't be glued to an alti. and at long...

Suggestion to DJI.. Min Alt Setting..

I made a suggestion during a recent DJI survey request after a Care Refresh replacement and wanted to canvas folks here with my idea.. I suggested a firmware addition in settings for the pilot to set an alert if you tried to fly lower than a pre-set minimum altitude.. much the same as the Max...

    Question about flyaway replacement

yes, that's easy to understand AND I know how to do it. But, the Flight records in MY device (phone) and MY account that are linked to that unit are also of interest to me.. The question I asked was - Does deleting or removing the device also delete the flight records and as such are they then...

Two weeks underwater, 3 rescue attempts.. A long story of drowned drone and determination..

Post Script: Today, a new, shrink-wrapped A2S arrived in the mail with a new battery.. its a sweet book-end from a month ago when I drowned my treasured drone and spent much time searching the river to get it back. Care Refresh replacement cost was AUD199 (because I found it) instead of AUD849...

My Great experience by putting my PHONE NUMBER on my drone. As well as, purchasing Care Refresh which requires you send them the crashed drone.

On the third search attempt I recovered my A2S after two weeks on the salty river bed. The label with my name and number was still 100%... I think it would have survived long after electrolysis and the barnacles took full possession. The fish and sea creatures would have phoned in if they could...

    Question about flyaway replacement

I'm also interested if anyone has any experience of this.. I have received my replacement A2S and now have two drones named A2S in my account.. I should have given the 1st one a unique name back then because now its dead and gone back to the maker.. sure I'll rename the replacement to...
