My mistake. As I said from memory and I've only done the timelapse once. I know the Pano shots are in a separate folder and was making the broad assumption that the time lapse photos did the same thing.
This is from memory, but I believe if you do the time-lapse setting, it takes photos every few seconds and then combines them into a video which is what I think you're talking about. The drone doesn't delete those photos though. They get saved into a different folder and you should be able to...
Mavic 3 Cine is a step above the Mavic 3 pro and runs in the neighborhood of $4,800. Supposed to be geared toward pro content creators. Apple proRes capable with a 1TB SSD on board. You'd expect to see very high quality video come out of it.
I'm far from an expert, but this is the part of the VLOS regs that stand out to me:
I don't know how the goggles work, though. Are they clear lenses that you can see through with no power or are they an actual screen like VR goggles? If the latter, I think the FAA could make a case that your...
I thought it was pretty low quality for a Cine, but since the drone went for a swim, I was thinking maybe the video was a screen recording. Don't know much about the Cine and my only DJI experience is with the RC controller, so don't know if screen recording is even a thing for the Cine.
The view is facing almost directly west and is a bit after sunrise, so what little color there had been this direction in the sky is long past. The eastward view still had some orange to the sky, but very little cloud cover so not all that spectacular.
That same view from the ground is...
The theoretical top speed of 46 mph is plenty fast for what I do. I can get to my max vlos and have plenty of battery to spare. The only advantage I can see for me would be the ability to fly in higher winds. A calm day in my area is a rarity. Today was a beautiful day, but winds gusting to...
Got up this morning and checked the sunrise forecast (sunsethue) to see if it would be worth it to catch the sunrise this morning. Forecast was poor due to cloud cover I guess. Was sitting at my desk and glanced out the window and saw the houses on the hills were all lit up. There was just...
An interesting read and definitely a lesson to be learned here.
In a response to my introduction post, @LoudThunder gave me a bit of advice:
And went on to share an anecdote where a relative wanted to see the props turn so energized the motors in the house, forgot to breathe, and pressed...
Nice video with a view the guides can't provide.
We were there this past November. Didn't do a tour, but did taste several different drams. There was a representative from the Bunnahabain distillery as well. It was just me and my wife in the tasting so we had a really nice time drinking whisky...
