This gimble crazy movement happened to me once, out of blue... like you, I turned the power off. It never happened again. Now about 50 flights or more later. Everything seems to fine. I don't think there is need to send it in if you don't encounter any further issues. I talked to DJI online, and the agent only suggested me to recalibrate gimble.
