1080p distance

Hey, Can somebody coment about the distance that you can view 1080p fpv before the goggles switch to 720p? I read some where that 720p will be used for a mile or further away but not sure.

This is a very difficult question to answer due to the number of variables. In urban environments where there is a lot of radio interference the range will be less. if there are obstructions like trees and buildings it will be less. The good news is that the difference between 720 and 1080 while noticeable is not that dramatic.

I fly with the googles often and camino ken is right, the range varies by day/location. Out in the country I'll get 1080p maybe out to a mile, near a town or city is half due to interference.

Not really worth having on though, when you select 1080P transmission the AC doesn't allow 4k filming so I always fly with 720P, doesnt really make much of a difference between the 2 views. I'd rather have a clean 720p connection over a spotty 1080p signal.
