Can I use my Mavic Pro to track another drone using Active Track while both are in the air?

A guy already tried that using the Mavic to track a P3 Advanced. no go! The Mavic kept loosing track and could not reacquire the P3. The P3 was even flown slowly without abrupt movement and the Mavic still lost it and could not track it in the air.

As I understand it, the Active Track software is looking for specific objects: people, cars, bikes. When you select something an icon pops up telling you what it thinks it is. It does not appear to be general purpose in this sense.

I think litchi would track something like that better than DJI go
