Autopilot Logic - Question About Checkpoint Strategy For Waypoint Mapping

Can someone explain to me how to use Checkpoint Strategy for doing mapping? I am mapping an area that will take 2 batteries and want to add a segment to pause the mission at a point but I can't figure out how to do this. When I choose segments it adds whatever option I choose to all of them and I can't figure out how to edit them.

Hope someone out there understands what I am getting at. I have tried looking through Flight School but the info on segments is vague.
