Just curious, if I have my mavic air follow me and it sets the gps home point at 30 meters above the ground and I walk to a point 30 meters lower then press to come will the drone raise to the set 30 meters then come home or will it rise to 30 meters above where I am and potentially hit trees that are higher than the lower point

The altitude displayed in the application is always relative to your home point (where you took off). So if you walked down 30m, the drone’s altitude would be -30m. If you then hit Return To Home (with RTH set at 30m), the drone will rise a total of 60m (to 30m above the takeoff altitude) and then fly back to the takeoff position.
