Combat Camera guy - new to drones

Hey yall, I am just checking in. I just picked up the Mavic yesterday and this is my first drone.

A little background - 18 years in the Army. My current job in the Army is, well, I would sum it up as combat documentation. The nickname is comcam or Combat Camera. We document using video and photo. I think its the best job in the military. I might be bias.

I am looking forward to using the drone with my skillset. I look at is as a tool added to my arsenal. I might be taking a trip to the desert soon, and I think that is where I am really going to put it to the test. Hopefully, im not regulated to much by the military and will be able to use it as a tool.

Anyway, I am looking forward to being a part of the community.
