Hi guys, im travelling from singapore to taiwan in mid february with SCOOT airline. Is there any restriction with SCOOT hand carry check in? The website states Lithium ion batteries are allowed but not lithium polymer battery, and mavic pro battery is lithium ion polymer so im getting kinda confuse..

Also, will i get stopped by the customs/immigrations? For whatever reasons which they will require me to dispose my batteries or my mavic pro?

Any help will be appreciated..

I travelled through Taipei to Hanoi in September with no issues at all. They sell the MP in the airport at Taipei, so I doubt you'll have any issues at customs. Make sure any batteries you have for any device are in your carry-on baggage, and you should be OK at Singapore air security.

3 D printed battery covers are always a nice touch to use in case they inspect the Mavic Pro and the batteries. Its just another thing that you can mention that is a safeguard. They clip over the area where the battery has exposed pins to connect to the Mavic Pro.

If you want to get really protective you can get LiPo safe bags that will prevent damage from fire or explosion .

A strip of electrical tape over the terminals works just as well. And easy/cheap to replace if you lose it. I've never had anyone ask for terminal protection or LiPo bags on any of my flights, and I flew 31 segments in 2017.

I admit that it might be overkill , but it shows that one has taken extra precautions to prevent any issues. Electrical tape is a great option as well.

If i were to pack my batteries in a lipo safe bag, Any idea if scoot will take the chance to “charge” me “hidden fee” for bringing 2 MP batteries?
