DJI Mavic Mini same camera module with DJI Mini 2

I have watched possibly the first teardown of Mini 2 and guess what, camera module is the same one used on Mini 1!
Most possible the flight controller is the same module too!

So now we are waiting for the mods and custom firmware's .....

The camera is the same and I don't see any cooling fan or added heat sync. That excuse for not supporting 4K in the Mini was never very credible.

Picking a nit, you've probably seen it spelled that way dozens of times on this forum, but it's OcuSync.

Not surprised in any way. There are so many software enhanced feature in the 2 that they can easily implement on the original (Boomerang QuickShot anyone?)

However there are definite hardware changes - like the battery, motors, apparently stronger arms, propellers, and of course the Ocusync.

Is it worth that additional £50 (drone itself), £90 (FMC) RRP? Then it's up to the buyer to decide (there are definitely cheaper original Minis out there too, with it being released last year).

But there's no point in ranting, time to move on...

Where does the occusync live?

OcuSync is just transmition protocol and uses new receiver/transmitter on the drone - that is the change. On the video you can see that as well as new GPS antenna...
