I might be having brain fade but it seems difficult to tap or tap and hold to initiate tracking because I keep getting exposure lock based on where I tap and no green box.
I don't remember it particularly doing that before.
Latest app and firmware with RC controller (mini 3 Pro)
Feel like it is something to do with how camera exposure is set up?
Having the subject recognise toggle on or off doesn't make it much better.
It doesn't help I hardly used it for a few weeks so am a bit rusty on where settings lurk.

To initiate tracking I drag a box around the object I want to track and then select a tracking mode. It shouldn't need a tap-&-hold. If you have auto detection on you should get green boxes around the objects you can ask it to track. Tap a box and then choose a tracking mode. Note that not all modes allow tracking so no amount of tapping or dragging will initiate it.

Touch and drag to create the box around the subject to be tracked.
